Okay.. Nothing's been up on this blog for some time.. So here's something updates on what balds has been up to.

I'm been up to my neck in uni work.. And i'm missing every part of Singapore.
MY friends, family, food and my honeybao.

Its getting sunnier here, weather's getting nice. I'm turning down the heater in my room. Yeaps. I love summer!! okok. will be adding more in a bit.

Hehe.. There was an earthquake yesterday. Well, it measured 5.4.
Nice. I was in CK's place at that time, playing on his Wii.

Then it shook. The whole house did.
The first thing I thought of was like, "WOW!! ! ! Force Feedback on the Wii!"
Hahaa.
Nah.

Wasn't that much of a big deal.

Ok. Jes is coming to UK in a couple of weeks' time. She's getting a job in the mean time.
God bless her with finding a job, yeap!
Well, she's borrowing $$ from her family first, cuz she's broke. I'm broke as well. Been eating too much again. TAI WU!! Went there 3 times this week already. AHahhaahahah..

Okok.. gotta plan for mum's trip soon.
God bless everyone!

Sry mum, dad, and everyone else for being mad at ya guys. Short temper me.

Still disappointed.

Other families give their own encouragement, compliments on achievements, and support.
I've only received scorn most of the time.
Fancy getting agitated over money matters.

Nobody has forgotten the commandments GOd has given us. To love them doesn't mean that you still can't get angry with them.

Was there a time whenever you has a different opinion from me, and talked to me nicely about it? Has anyone taken any time to try to understand me?
I just feel that you're just all pushing down your own opinions and views on me, and not ever thinking about what and how i feel.
Humans are selfish aren't they?
Well. I guess thats how life is.

God bless me and my family.
=)

Disappointed. Totally disappointed.
How can my family doubt me?
My own kin.

They entrusted me with 2500 pounds to safekeep. And they'd think that I would spend the money.
My sister said that she didn't know whether I would.
DON"T KNOW!?

I have my own principles, and I abide strongly by them. Do they honestly think that I will even touch the money thats not mine?
My mum doubts me.

What kind of a family do I have?
Don't they even trust my decisions? Don't I make sensible decisions when i need to?
In the past, as a vice presi for my band, as a treasurer for SWS, don't they ever notice my worth?
I'm so disappointed.

Out of my family, I think only my dad trusts me.
Sadly enough, thats what I think.

Trust. What is that? My own family doesn't even do that.
To them, I am not sensible. To them i am blinded by love.
They want me to transfer back the money to them, being afraid that I might spend the money.

Is money more worth than your son's trust?
Didn't I leave myself with enough finances last year, even so more than my sister?
Disappointment.

I finished my exams!

Hehe. Had two papers in two weeks. Business Finance was first, and International Finance was the second.

Both papers were difficult, but Business Finance was really the killer paper. Oh wells. I guess I just didn't study enough to cover all the topics. International Finance was okay.
By the way, I turned 22!

Bday was on the 9th of Jan, right in the midst of exams. Even though that was the case, I've had a warm bday celebration from my friends.
Keung gave me a handheld mini donkey kong game, and an orange splatterman coaster, William gave me two collector's Street Fighter Figurines, Akuma and Ryu! WEE! My fav two characters in Street Fighter. Hehe.

I've put the pictures below.

Alrighty! Oh yea, Eve, Harriet, Kapo and Tsim celebrated my birthday! They made a nice sumptous chinese/western styled dinner for me, and even bought me a nice birthday cake from Chinatown. Sweet people!

I really appreciate it, thanks for everything! Hehe.
My birthdays has always been nice and warm, thanks to my friends. I'm happy that I have warm friends like this. I remember when I was 20, before i came to the UK, my band peeps gave me a surprise celebration after band prac. Hehe. I ended up swimming in the fish pond when they decided to prank the birthday boy. Whahahaha...
Smelly pond. EEKS.

However, next year, my dearie will spend my birthday with me. I can't wait for that.
A big thank you to all my friends, even though it exams, ya all still did it.

Well, mum is planning to come over to the UK to visit me and tour around with me. That'd be in end may or june i think. Hehe.
Dad, everyone's worrying for you. Your wife cares a lot for you ok? Mum has been worrying about your eyesight and your health. So please take care of yourself k?
If possible, come with mum to tour europe with me alright?

Okok.. I've had a haircut recently.. But i'm too lazy to take a picture. Next time then. Hehe. Ciao~

As promised, here are the pictures!

Here's the peeps at Heald Green having our Xmas dinner.

A photo of us with "cool shades". Lol.

We're at the cake house at White Field. The cakes here are EXPENSIVE. Made outta suger icing and chocolate. Items of art, yea.

Cute cake. All of that is edible.

Don't believe me? Look at the price. 840 pounds.
Thats about S$2520.

All handmade and edible.

More cakes..

All made of chocolate. OMG..

Mouth watering chocolate tower of exorbitant yummy proportions.

White Chocolate Fairy Castle. Can you ever bear to eat it?
Yes, all hand crafted.

Andy had this. Its a liqeour and chocolate desert. We had our afternoon tea at this chocolate house diner.

After that, we went to the Xmas Market at Manchester City Centre. Hey Santa.

German Sausages barbaqued on an oversized grill.
What more can we ask for on a cold winter day?

The nice cathedral where the Xmas Market is.. With the clock tower by its side.

Planes are a common sight, leaving trails of clouds behind. Well, I'll be on one of them next year, coming home to my family, friends, and my lovely honey darling.

Alrighty.. Will update with more photos if i get them from the others. Ciao.

Its Christmas!! And what is the purpose and meaning of Christmas?
Christ!
Yeaps. Its not the birthday of Jesus Christ, as many would have thought. Its just a day that is set aside for celebrating the birth of Jesus.
=)

Okay. Its been really quite busy during the Xmas time. Going out to the Christmas market, hanging out with church friends, attending parties and such..
I'm going out next door for a Xmas dinner and party laters. Hehe..

My family have always celebrated Christmas at the condo my dad's managing. We'd have a bbq and buffet at the poolside. Nice eh?

Well, for the past two years, I haven't been able to attend them.. SIgh. Being in UK sometimes ain't as fun as it seems. But i'll be there next year! Back to SG to get my Christmas presents!
I'm feeling hungry now..
Oh yea.. Next year, I'm gonna try to bring honeybao to the Christmas party.. Then she can help me cook the stuff.. I've always helped out for the dinner. I was the cook for the deep fried stuffs once, and there was such a long queue for my food. Nyahahaha. I'm such a great cook.. *head gets bigger*

Okok.. i'll update with more stuffs and photos laters!

Alrighty!

The week has been quite okay.. Really gotta get my projects going at a faster pace though.

Its really funny, on how people around me are doing. A friend of mine, Sel, is already coming back to Singapore.. Atikah's doin fine in Aus as well.. Debbie's in Aus too! Well.. Almost all who went overseas to study are female.. Why?

Cuz guys simply need to do National Service. Whahahahahhaa..
I'm kinda glad I saved two years on that.

Speaking of which, I wanna continue my studies after I get my bacholer degree.
Wanna do a masters degree but hmm. I really like to stay in Singapore.

THere's my hobbies in Singapore... My bands, my friends and khakis.. My cycling sessions..
The late night drive out for supper. Man! I miss those things!
Its just different in the UK.

But then, life is so much less stressful here in the UK.
The pace of life is slower, and people aren't really the workaholic type.
Oh wells!

If i could, I wanna pursue music here in the UK. And be a professional musician who specialises in smooth jazz. Big band really got me motivated to pursue music.
BUsiness is just ya know, boring. Music takes the joy of the moment, a new feeling that gets fresher every day.

Oh wells. Being a jazz musician in singapore ain't gonna let me live comfortably.
So yea, guess i'd have to stick with boring and dry business related stuffs.
But nope, i'm not gonna give up on music.
Its just something thats not on my priority list.

I don't wanna stay in Singapore. Its like a frog living in a well.
One good example would be a certain musician i know of in band back in SG. This guy plays well. And knows jazz. I thought he was good..

But here's the thing. I go for big band practice every tuesday. And guys, students, of my age simply just plays better than that SG dude in every aspect.

We played Straight no Chaser, Take the "A" train, Night in Tunisia on practices..
MAN!! THOSE WERE SOME FAMOUS JAZZ PIECES!
And they managed to play it so well.. Harmonics were good, tone was superb, volume was a blast.
Jazz improvisation was astounding..
WEE~~ Even the conductor joined in the fun to jam as well.
If only i could do something like this for a job!

Okay. I'm so gonna get lessons on the fundamentals of big band and jazz music. Wanna learn the scales, the blues and everything.

Oh wells.

Oh yea, dearie lyn, (this is gonna sound so naggy) please do take care of yourself..
You just skipped lunch, and that aint good.
*hugs*

Smell you laters.

Alrighty. I know that i haven't updated my blog for some time.

Well, yea lyn, I'm lazy!!! Whahahaa..
But anyways, here are my updates on how i'm doing here.

Right now, its -4 deg outside. Really cold. Brr.. I just came back from CK's place not too long ago.
Cars are all covered in frost, and my hands get stiff and numb if I stayed out too long.
Oh wells. I guess winter is here after all.

Sometimes, I prefer my sunny island Singapore.
Lyn, its nice to see that you've updated your blog. Hehe. Dearie smellypoo, I'm glad that you're doing fine back in Singapore. You ar.. Always making me worry bout you. Since I left, you had complained abt sore eye, bad tummy, headache, itchy rashes, morning flu, sore throat... etc.

CANNOT LIKE THAT ONE LO!

I'll stuff you up with vitamins when i get back to SG. Hide them in your mee soto/rebus or sumtin.

ALrighy... Anyways, I had a day of coaching with Dave today. Ghim and I went for badminton coaching by Dave, yeap. Just for info, Dave is UK ranked 34 i think.
Professional eh.. Hehe. Ghim paid for me as well.

Did a lot of footwork and swing techniques. Almost died with his training. Horribly exhausting.
Oh yea, I broke the strings off martin's racket yesterday. Its the second one i broke in 1 year.
Haiz.

Well, the good thing is, Dave commented that I have a very fast and hard smash.. *HIGH FIVE* But the bad thing is, the strings sometimes can't take that kinda pressure and will snap eventually. Its a tradeoff i guess. I'd rather be on the offense for doubles games. YEA!! So i can smash all i want! WEE!

Okay, with regards to music.. I recently joined the Uni of Salford Big Band.
Its not a big band as in numbers, but really just the playing style.
There are about 20 members, and we play jazz, blues, pop and a li rock.
All of them are final year music students i think.
I feel so crap there, but yea, I'm so gonna learn from them.
They use jazz licks, blues scales the the like in the pieces we play. Adlib, improvisation.. etc.
Their solo adlib is way wicked!!! YEA!!! Ultra high altissimo, velvety growls and bluesy notes.
I totally wanna play like them. Yeaps, yeaps.
Speaking of which, I bought a new mouthpiece just for Big Band.
Well, I can also use it in the long run depending on what kinda music i play.
Yea. I bought the JodyJazz ESP Alto 6 Metal MPC.
It costs me around 218 pounds.
That works out to be abt S$650 bucks. Its made from a bar of high quality metal,
and outerlayered with 24k gold. Had a secondary reed for volume and brightness..
MAN!! I just simply love my new mpc... Definately worth the money.

For all those who dunno.. A mouthpiece is a detachable piece of accesory that is needed in order to play the sax. You blow on it to produce the sound that goes thru your instrument.

Thinking back, I sold my old Selmer Bundy Saxophone for 150 bucks. A saxophone accessory costing 4 times the price of a saxophone i sold. Simply saying, I sold my sax too cheap!!! WHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Anyways, my ref 54 alto costs abt 8,000 anyways.. So i guess it wouldn't hurt buying something that shapes the sound for 650 bucks yea?
Mum, dad, i can use it for a long time.. Dun scream at me ar...
If i had the choice back then , i would have taken music.
Then again.. How can a muscian earn enough in Singapore's business environment? Earn enough to let my parents retire happily and provide my family with all the comfortable things they deserve? Oh wells. Music as a hobby is so much a thing dear to me..

Okok.. Gonna go rest alr. Updates laters.. Nitez. XD
ps. honeybao.. drink more water.

As usual, its been some time since I've updated my blog. To put it simply, there is no space of time to feel bored.

There're loads of things to do now. Updating my blog ain't one of my top priorities.
Okay. Anyways, I STILL have to update it so that peeps in Singapore can know what i'm up to.
Its been years since i last updated it eh?

Alrighty. Shall i start with last friday?
Lyn and my parents would have known that I had gone for a churh camp last friday.
They've been pestering me to update my blog.. You all ar.. mum, dad, and lyn, all gang up and bully my one ar.. Whahaha. The building you see on the left is the retreat site. Nice cosy place.
Okay. Right.

Friday: We set off from the church center at Manchester Oxford Road at 6.15pm. We reached our destination, Quinta Hall, at 8.30 pm. We were told to have our dinner before we leave.. And so, I had my dinner at 4 before i left for church. And what do ya know. I got hungry by 6. Horrible unsatiated stomach of mine.
Okay..

Alrighty then. It says Quinta Hall here.
Basically, it a Christian Retreat Site. Yeaps.
Located in somewhere in North Wales.

Okay. Right. Nice fonts eh?

This is our room. 4 beds.
There's still a bed behind me.
Hehe.
But only 3 people sleeps in this room.

Anyways, its autumn now.
Leaves are falling.
Its beautiful.
Green yellow and red,
in the same picture of nature.

This is the road to Quinta Hall.
Just a nice little road.

We went for a hike on saturday.
Going through tunnels and walking
through plains.

There were horses.
Yeaps. Giddyap!

They got attracted to me.
Do i have food? Hm.

They came closer.
Nope still no food.
Only one handsome dude to look at.

And there were sheep.
On large plains.
Great view.
Go on, click on this picture.
Meeehh Meehhh~

More sheep.
Loads of sheep poo
on the fields.

You look tasty.
Hiking makes me hungry.

Lastly. Here is the inside of Quinta Hall.
They have a fireplace, a reading room,
a recreation room, a function room.. etc..
Very warm and country like.
COSY~

Alrighty! Updates on university stuff. Mum, dad, I've already settled my accomodation fees as well as my tuition fees. As for jiajia, I've already given them the letter and told them what to do like 3 weeks ago. You should just mail a letter straight to the main office giving authorisation. Put your name, POSB acct number, your signature, previous address(in case) and the singapore address.

The HSBC branch at Uni has really crappy customer service. HORRIBLE.

On band stuff. I skipped band practice today. Was too tired.
I miss SWS! Sigh. The wind band practice here only lasts for an hour. That ain't enough.
I used to attend like 8 hours of band practices per week. But now.. Its reduced to a pathetic 1 hour. ARGH!!!!!
But its good too. I don't really have the time to commit to any more stuffs.
Oh ya, mum and dad, help me to ask third sis about the webcam.. She's always forgetting about it.

Alrighty. Catch ya peeps laters.

I like this pic!!

I just came back from school not long ago. Its a nice tuesday afternoon.
I'm gonna go check up on Salford Wind Band laters. Not sure if they had resumed practices or not.

Updates!!

Played badminton a few times the past week. Played yesterday too! WHOH! My bbc frens are all like badminton junkies. Hehe. Badminton day in and day out.

I had my lunch.. Or brunch u can call it. A muffin and a latte, with an apple. Muffin was quite big ya know. Yum. Kinda satisfied my hunger.

I miss my family and friends back home in SG already.. I miss Singapore Wind Symphony... They're the ones who got me to improve my playing.

I miss my mum my dad and 3 sisters.
Jiajia aint cooking for me every saturday now, now that she's gone back to singapore.
She haven't found a job yet. That slacker.

Honeybao!! I miss my lovely girlfriend.
She's the sweetest. I can tell that she gave so much for me. I know it..
Dearie.. I know it.. I appreciate it.
I know how you feel towards me. Even when i'm so far away.
You never seem to fail to be available for me.
So much unconditional love.
To everyone out there, if you find a girl who does this for you, treasure her..

*Hugs honeybao*

Okay, shall stop with the mushy stuff now. Hehe.. Take care guys.

I'm back in UK!!

Okay.. School has started, and I've gone for a couple of lectures this week.
Its really vexing man!! My tutorial allocations have not been done well, and I can't fully register for my course!
Why?
Cuz my cheque ain't here yet. Its been delayed..
Oh wells.

Life is back as it was in the UK. Same as before.. Badminton on tuesdays and thurdays etc.
But here's a difference, i look forward to checking my emails everyday now.. There's my honey!

Hehe..
Its 4.30 pm here now.. Guess its around 11.30 pm back in SG. Yea.
Lyn, whats you up to? hehe..
Hm. My room's in a mess. My bedding isn't done. I don't even have a bedding to start with.
I left it at keung's place.. And its all the way in WALES!!!
*sob*

Okok.. Just to update ya peeps at home..
Lyn, remember ur promise ar..

Saturday, July 21, 2007

Its Saturday! Came back from a whole day out with lyn. Went to vivo city, then to Giant, after which to IKEA, then to Courts.

Went to so many places, all via "above ground". I love bus rides. Long ones especially, when i'm with lyn. Hehe.
She's the sweetest.

Lazy to upload more pictures... Its been a li more than a month since i came back to Singapore.. I'm glad I did. But the weather is still terrible. I'm having a pimple farm on my face.

Went to the Zoo recently.. Its kinda interesting to see animals again after not seeing any live animals since more than 10 years ago.. We had our lunch at KFC.

Okay, updates for the other parts of my life. I'm trying to book air tickets on the 16th of September. Thats when i'll be flying back to the UK i guess.

Also, for those itching to go for a symphony concert, and don't wanna pay for it, there's a free concert at the Esplanade on 12 Aug. Its a Beautiful Sunday performance in the concert hall of the Esplanade. I'll be performing. Be sure to catch it. Go earlier, its well known to be always packed full. 1600+ seats.

Sunday, July 01, 2007

Its sunday! Just finished dinner. Its one big family here tonight, yeap. 9 of us in total.. Hmm. Lets see.

There's mum, dad, 3 sisters and their partners, two kids and I. 11 of us in total !

One old couple.
3 young couples.
A couple of kids.

And a boy called Balds. Whahaha.. Told Miss S.C. aka lyn about it. Man.. I really wanna bring her to meet my family. She'll love it here.. Yea, I'm sure of it. :)
We came back from the tenssenson club just now, went to play tennis with my sisters and their boyfriends. Wanted to go bowling but reservations had to be made.. Oh well.

Went to band prac sectionals yesterday.. Honey tagged along, and read a book.. Didn't want her to wait too long, but it'd be better that she came along cuz its kinda outta the way to meet me laters.. Though she was nice to tell me that it didn't matter, I could tell she was bored.

Sorry dearie..

Went to bottle tree park after that. It was a nice cosy park. Well, Marianne told us about cosy bay. I guess thats where we'll go next time. It'll be romantic.. *winks*

Here's a pic of honey and me..

Friday, June 29, 2007

Ok.. I know who's gonna read this so i can't say too much.

I'm officially attached. Girls who are reading this. Sorry. No chance.
Its a totally different thing when you fall in love from friendship. Hehe. Its kinda cute at times too.
Not gonna be all mushy mushy.

Heh. Fell sick twice in two weeks. Bad, bad weather. Blame it on the weather, yes.. Sometimes, the weather/girlfriend can be sooo infectious with viruses.
Opps. Did I mention "girlfriend?" Nya hahahaha.....

I had a sparkle of creativity just now. lyn was saying about traffic lights not liking her, turning red all the time. Instead of saying traffic lights don't like ya thats why turning red, its more logical to say that traffic lights are made by man, so they have man's personality. They turn red because they like ya. They stop you and blush and make you wait and look at them.
When they turn green, they're feeling sick. They can't wait for you to get lost.

Logical reasoning yur?

Umm. Miss S.C bought me honey lemon yesterday. It was darnest sweetest drink ever.. But no, Miss S.C is sweeter than honey, getting me a drink knowing I had sore throat.

Band yesterday was ok.. Messed up a couple of solos, including a jazz one. :P
Man. I feel so rusty..
I don't have internet in my room. Router's not working. I'm in a pink room. Its worse than being in a scary movie.. RIght. I'm outta here.

Happy days! Its only been a couple of weeks since I landed back in Singapore, but it has been really blissful.

Meeting my poly friends and band friends, hanging out with the usual bunch of peeps.
Yesterday, we went to Bedok 85 for noodles. Yummy! They were more than a hour late though. Sigh. Spent that hour with Miss Stupidly Clever. LOL!

Went to look at planes with marianne and Miss S.C. last week too! They were like kids, yea. Hehe..
I just came back from City Hall not long ago. Went to look at Louisa's church. Raina still looks the same, lol. Louisa has a new haircut. Whahaha.. I miss those times in band, crapping with all the band peeps.

I found that the hardest thing to do is saying goodbye. Especially to..

Friday, June 15, 2007

Had a night out with Tpband peeps yesterday. Went to orchard with yingying lyn before that, to get a bdae present for a friend of ours. Had al fungi at pasta mania in cineleisure for dinner. Man! That pasta was totally crap. Honestly, really, back in the UK I could whip up a much better tasting pasta. With lloyd grossman sauces!

Oh wells. Anyways, my parents commented that I "zhang da" already. Means that I've grown up. Well, I guess being independant for your own well-being and everything else made me think more.
I'll most probably be going back to the UK for my final year in September.

Thanks guys, TPband and SWS peeps. Also, my polytechnic friends.. It great to see ya guys again!!
Greatly appreciate the hospitality u peeps have shown me for the past week. Hehe. What great friends I have.

Oh yea, I got lost yesterday!! Whahahaah. The plan was to have dinner, get a present, and if possible, make it for SWS band prac.
Drove to hougang mall, and it took me more than an hour. Really, my road sense ain't back in SG yet. Lyn was just there calling me names, like blur, stupid.. etc.

EH! Pot calling the kettle black k? One blur girl navigating and one blur guy driving. Thus dinner was served at 9pm.

Geee hee hee.
Anyways, it was a great night out yesterday. Yeaps. I'm glad we were all honest on what we felt. It'll be 3 months from now till I get back to Manchester. I've always felt that I always got the short end of the straw when it comes to affairs of the heart. Hmm.
I don't have a lack of gals to date. *wink*
However... sigh.
Somehow, when given a blessing, other opportunities might be forgone. I guess God looks at the larger picture. Who knows, the future might turn out to be what my heart desires.

I'm 21. What is love between a girl and dude?
At 21. Love is romantic, affectionate and raging with passion. At 50, what will make you love the other? No more looks, no more nice figures. Hehe. I guess what's most important would be our heart and our character.

Patience balds. You've waited 2 years. :)
A li more, a hope of a love everlasting.

Man. Really, how i envy those old couples.

I'm back in Singapore!

Its darn hot. Its Wednesday today, but look-ey here, my timezone in this blog ain't changed.
Went for bobby's bdae party right after the plane touched down on Saturday, had a steamboat on Sunday, went to TPband on Monday, and went out to the beach yesterday.

The beach was soooo nice. So relaxing~ Its been really long since I went to the beach to just lie and listen to the waves, with the breeze blowing gently. The starry night was just fine for the nice night at the beach. Hehe. Went there with sweet lyn. Had a nice chat with lyn, and we caught up on a lotta things. Apparently, Lyn got a li more plump since the last time i saw her, but she looks better that way i guess.. Hey, dun get angry ar.. Clever and dumb girl at the same time. Lol. Anyways, thanks lyn. You're really sweet. :)

Just came back from Ikea just now. Went to meet up with the Singapore Winds sax section for lunch. Hehe. Mel's gonna go army. Yunshan puts on makeup now. WHAHAH!!! I MISS BAND!! Oh wells. kk. Can't wait for band on Thursday.

PM has said before, are you a quitter, or are u a staying in SG? C'mon, u dumb government peeps, what good is SG compared to what other developed countries have to offer in terms of standard of living?

Yea, SG. I know its dreadfully hot. Its sweltering heat might just kill me once dawn arrives.
Dumb crap of a place to be in, yet its food paradise's nametag is somewhat an understatement.
No natural resources, no land. No scenery. Its a stress garden. Overpriced cars, unreasonable road pricing system, stupid laws and overpaid ministers.
But yea, SG is my home, 4 more days !

So what have i been doing for the past weeks? Right after exams, Keung bought a Wii. Yea, sums up where most of my time has gone.
Bought a pair of sunglasses from Selfridges; Raybans cost me S$310.
Most of my stuff are kept in my friend's place for storage during the summer hols. Aw. My room is so empty now.

Flight Details
9 June 2007. Plane to touch down at 8.05 pm, Terminal 1.

Home ; the place of familial warmth,
Place ; I am far away from home,
What does my heart feel as present?
Apprehension; I resist,
Examination; Tomorrow's question.

My little passage to describe tomorrow's paper. My last paper! Operations Management. The last one before the academic year is over. And that marks the start of the summer holidays.

And then, I will wait patiently for 2 weeks. When that's over, beef noodles and prata, shiver in fear; for BaLds will consume you in ten month's worth.

Today was a good day spent in the library, studied loads and my efforts came to fruition.
It was funny though. I didn't know when the trend started, but today, people were approaching me to ask questions.

Questions about examination questions. It used to be only people who knew me that ask questions about questions they can't solve. Jay used to ask me loads in Sem 1.
Now, by the end of the day, I had random people in my course coming to ask me about exam questions they can't solve. People I had never spoken to before. Hm.

I'm honored, and I like to help. Thats why I feel that today has been a great day. They've been labelling me "genius", "doctor", "professor". Yoyo's been going on "He's smart! I wish I had his brains!" People, any more of this, my head's gonna swell up and burst. Humility, of vast quantities needed to prevent all these getting to my head.
They all leave the library and ask me, "Are you coming to the library tomorrow? I need you to teach me." But hell yea, there's fulfilment in the art of teaching.
I had even considered and talked to my sis about becoming a lecturer eventually. But first, goals to achieve.

They include:

Mid-Term Goals
1) Remedy the situation of me messing up my FPC module
2) Maintain my First Class Honors / Improve standing
3) Obtain First Class HOns
4) Further my studies for a Masters in Finance

Long-Term Goals
1) Get a job as a financial analyst/banker in the UK
2) Earn big bucks
3) Allow my parents to live the rest of their lives in utmost comfort
4) Become a university lecturer
5) Buy a car. --> Looking at the MX5 Roadster Coupe
6) Play music professionally.

Life-Long Goals
1) Serve God in whatever ways I can
2) Learn from the bad things I've done, and comdemn those actions
3) Persevere in doing the right thing
4) Leading people to Christ.
5) Providing for my family; parents and children of mine, ensuring they get they best of the things in life.

Examining your life and knowing what you want in it is the least one man who appreaciates his life can do.

"The Unexamined Life is Not Worth Living." -Socrates

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, Happy Father's and Mother's Day to you, Dad and Mum. This post is dedicated to my parents.

I know how much you love me.
During the days when I was hospitalised many years ago, you spent your days by my side.
I know you blamed yourself on why you gave me this brittle-bone disease that result me to break my bones when i was growing up.

In fact, I know you cried buckets of tears, and were sadden greatly that I had to go through so much pain, through the many operations those years ago. I never had the courage to tell you that I was so really happy with all that boundless amounts of love.

You gave me your precious savings to buy me a saxophone that cost you many years of work. Buying it without thinking twice.
I understand how it is that you disciplined me when I was younger, even though it hurt you more than it hurt me, to make me the God-loving person you want me to be.
You even agreed to pay for my driving lessons, agreeing so quickly.
You were even so ready to fund my education, even knowing that we're financially not so well off. But thanks to God, He has heard the prayers of the best mother in the world.
You'd save on the things you'd buy, saving money for the family's welfare.
Truely, mum, I appreciate all these. You have shown me what a God-seeking woman can do.

You pray for us every night, mum. I wanna let you know that i pray for you and day every night too.

I'm sorry for being rebellious those years ago, and scolding you simply because I didn't like the way you treated me.

Dad, I know I scratched your car simply becuz I was dumb enuf to try to manuever an impossible parking space.
I know how much you treasure your car, and i'm glad you trust me with it.
Behind that stone, crater-filled face of yours, I know you love us so much, as much as mum does. Calling me every so often to make sure that we're doing well. Making no delay and making sure we get the best we can. Although you don't show your feelings very much, we know that you love us boundlessly.
Simply because we all love you Dad, we want you to stop smoking for good.

I miss you, Mum, Dad.
Your son is coming home soon.
God Bless my parents.

My family loves God. God loves my family. Amen.

First, in reply to charlotte the orc's tag: Go drive the church van!! NYA HAHAHAH! Its manual too!

Firstly to note, I'm in the middle of my exams. Smack right in the middle. Two papers done with, two more to go.

Financial Planning & Control was a killer paper. Tricky. Raw data was really raw. Figures to be calculated had to be pre-calculated. If ya don't understand the whole variance analysis thoroughly, you're dead. Thats why most people are dead in my course. That question alone has a 50% weightage outta a 100% paper. I didn't get my figures thought out till the last 10 mins or so. Managed to squeeze out the correct figures before time was up. Didn't manage to conclude my analysis though. ROAR!~

Organisational behaviour was okay.

They just HAD to put the two hardest exams in the first week. Two more papers to go. Markets & Competition, and Operations Mgnt.

ANyways, I'm coming back to SG in less than 3 weeks!! WOO HOO! Its been 9-10 months since I first came here. Time really flies!
Okay, when i come back to SG, i'm gonna show my friends my new badminton skills! Bring it on, samuel! My arm hurts from all those badminton training. I've a killer smash in my arsenal now.
*big headedness*

Skated to church yesterday.

Set off at 12.10 , reached my destination at 12.45.
It was such nice weather yesterday!! Spring is on full bloom. Maybe around 19 - 20 deg yesterday? Lots of sun, but not too hot. Well, to the locals, it IS hot. But its just nice for me.
I took a picture of the flowers by the roads today.

Go on, click on the picture.
Hmm. Spring sure is nice.

I just came back from Manchester City Centre not long ago.. Went to watch the movie, 300 at a IMAX theatre. Well, its 8 storeys high, and channels 12,000 volts of sound systems for the perfect movie experience. COOL. Don't have many IMAX theatres back in SG. Well, before that, my sis, yuehan, and I went shopping around the Arndale. I bought a leather belt, and a singlet from River Island. I really needed to buy a belt. Cuz my levi's belt broke recently. I guess it was wearing it wrong all the time, giving it strain, wearing it to hold baggy pants.

School starts on Monday. Well, my sis's boyfriend, Bernard NEO, has gone back to SG today. He went to tour around in Europe with my sis. They went to London, after which they went to Paris. I wish i could tour around with them, but i'd just a playing gooseberry.

School starting means the I've gotta start working! Working harder when school starts. Gotta study, gotta stay in the library to revise, etc. Not to mention to work out at the GYM!! I'm really not gaining any weight even though i'm eating more, here in the UK. The only solution to this is that i gain more muscles the hard way. Build them up by working out! Then i can gain weight.

Will post some pictures of the trips soon. Pics are at my sis's place. ALright. My flatmate's mum and dad just arrived here. HUH! Wait till I tell them how havoc their son has been. Bloody hell, getting all drunk, making noise, leaving the whole kitchen in a mess..

Hehe. I'm not that evil. KK. Will update again with pics soon.

Monday, April 09, 2007

Hey peeps. Its been awhile since I updated my blog.

Well. Some fun stuff were going on these couple of weeks. Its easter. Holidays for 3 weeks. Holidays mean that my flatmates go back to their homes. Yea. They're all brits.

With them going home, means i can have the whole house to myself. Nya haha.
So hey, I've been making noise day in, day out, with my saxophone. I pity the neighbours living beside my apartment. Oh wells. Its not everyday that they can be bothered by me practising.

Then again, I DO practice everyday now that no one's at home. Right now, I'm savouring my ham and cheese pie. Incredibly yummy. Bought it becuz it was on a promotion. 2 for 1. Cool eh. One pie costs 1.80 pounds. Thats expensive. But considering the taste of it. Man. It tastes like a pie from those kinda expensive hotels.

Gareth used to tease me that I wasn't a man, for not going to army.. WHahaha. Now they're wasting time and suffering in the army while i eat my yummy pie.

Ya know what. I think living out on your own, and being indepedant for your own habitation is a lesson better than being in the army. In the army, u listen to orders, and you get fed at regular times.

Over here, I make my own decisions on everything, and I make my own meals. In the army, you learn how to kill and fire a weapon. Heh, but one thing's for sure, I won't have any army buddies. Thats ok. Dun like to swear and spew vulgarities. I never do.. That ain't Christ-like.

A lesson on Christianity. We all sin. I myself have my own flaws. But one thing's for sure, My ever-pursing goal is to be Christ-like.

This goal is like a moving arrow. You cannot target a moving arrow, not score a goal at a ever receding goal post. However, its the effort that counts , not where you are at the moment.

God doesn't look at your deeds, your past, nor your accomplishments. He looks at your heart.
I'm still bothered by goons and dumb arses from the True Jesus Church. They still believe that if you don't wash your feet, you cannot go to heaven.

Hey dudes, since when God had been particulat about smelly feet? Pun intended.

Lets say if you're on your deathbed. Your sons and daughters read the bibile to you everyday. One day, you realise that you had been a fool all your life, all things in the bibile make sense, all prophesies had come true. Then you decide to accept Christ. In your heart, you learn to accept Him, and suddenly realise that everything on earth happens for a reason. You realise that there is really a God, and come to your senses that He has done things for you without you even knowing.

You can't move. You're paralysed. You can't go thru a baptism, nor speak. You can't even go to a Holy Communion. (Thats just eating a li' bread and drinking a li' wine as a sign of remembrance of Christ). Not to even mention to cleanse the feet. So there, in your heart you desperately seek Christ. You repent on your sins, and ask if its too late to seek Him. Seek and you shall find, ask and you will be given. Thats what Jesus said. Knock and the door will be open to you.

What would Jesus Do? Without a doubt, Jesus will open his arms to you.

Foolish people in this day of age has come up with numerious conditions to enter His kingdom. These conditions are interpreted by man. And not one man is without sin; cept for Jesus of cuz. I've even heard about the golden gates of heaven. How absurd.

Till this day, I have a treasured friend, a person who is dear to me, who have renounced our ties as Christian brothers.

Jesus himself has said, why do these pharisees (priests of Jesus's time) practice all these rituals and go thru all these rites; for their hearts are not with God.
Ok, enough said. I'm forever on this topic.. Naggy me.

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you
Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego baby why don't we go
Jamaica

Off the Florida Keys
There's a place called Kokomo
That's where you wanna go to get away from it all

Bodies in the sand
Tropical drink melting in your hand
We'll be falling in love
To the rhythm of a steel drum band
Down in Kokomo

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you
To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego baby why don't we go

Ooo I wanna take you down to Kokomo
We'll get there fast
And then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go
Way down to Kokomo

To Martinique, that Monserrat mystique

We'll put out to sea
And we'll perfect our chemistry
By and by we'll defy a little bit of gravity

Afternoon delight
Cocktails and moonlit nights
That dreamy look in your eye
Give me a tropical contact high
Way down in Kokomo

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you
To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego baby why don't we go

Ooo I wanna take you down to Kokomo
We'll get there fast
And then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go
Way down to Kokomo

Port Au Prince I wanna catch a glimpse

Everybody knows
A little place like Kokomo
Now if you wanna go
And get away from it all
Go down to Kokomo

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you
To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego baby why don't we go

Ooo I wanna take you down to Kokomo
We'll get there fast
And then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go
Way down to Kokomo

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you
To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama

Ooo I wanna take you down to Kokomo

Before anyone asks me how much my skates really cost, they cost me 189 pounds. Thats around S$570.

By the way, badminton fans, Yonex's best racket at the moment, armortech 900 is out. Costing around 150 pounds. A tad too pricey. Well, the frame is composed of flex metal, composite with high modulus graphite. Talk about techonology. Bottom half of its head is a different material altogether. Cool eh.. Whole weight of the racket is around 80 grams.

OK, i'm off to play badminton now.

Bought new skates. As said, the salomon freeskates that are meant for freestyle urban skating is no longer in production.

Thus, it was totally necessary for me to buy a new pair. (Excuses eh?) Here in Europe, from the French Pro Skater Sebastian Laffargue, has produced a skate that might do better than the Salomon FSK series. I wanna go for skating lessons when i go back to SG. Learn how to slalom properly, and learn the hockey stop properly, and some advanced slides. Not to mention proper railgrinds. I do the powerslide though. Self taught, resulted in many injuries. Nya haha. I guess coaching would be safer. Learnt some neat tricks on my own, like the toe heel trick, backwards crossovers, one footer slalom, etc..

Gonna need some coaching on more masterful skills.

Ordered Seba FR 1 a couple of days ago.. Expecting them to arrive today or tomorrow.
My legs are itching to skate. The price is a tad more expensive than my Crossmax S-lab. That costed me around S$530? Its finally warming up here in Manchester. Heard the radio broadcast earlier. They said it was baking in Manchester!

Right. Bakin in the bus when the temperature is around 15 deg. I think they will die of heatstroke the moment they step outta Changi Airport.

Then again, my body has accustomed to the UK weather. My sis commented that when she first came back from the UK, she had difficulty breathing cuz it was really a drastic change in climate.

Hmm. Try living in a place where 18 deg is the rare maximum of temperatures throughout the year. Winter comes and it goes negative. Oh well, I guess my body is a homeostatsis powerhouse. I don't perspire in the sauna. Only do after 15 mins or so. Friends in SG were amazed, friends in UK were also amazed. Heyhey!! So i do go to the sauna in both countries!! Mua haha. I love the heat.. BAthing in a misty heaty bathroom is the norm for me. Then again, i don't perspire much. If i do, i'd lose even more weight. Zz.

Look at the how discomfortable BBC weather has rated us. Discomfort from heat, EXTREME!

I'm so gonna gain weight during this easter. Eat more, gym more. Muscles are heavier than fat anyways.

Ok. Will end here now. Here's a picture of my new skates. Pretty thing. That brings the number of skates I have to, 4. Salomon Preface, Salo FSK Crossmax Thunder, Salo FSK Crossmax S-Lab, and my new Seba FreeRide One...
